Supply chain disruptions often need management attention. There are many companies where the smallest of disruptions needs management intervention and decision. Such companies have high levels of firefighting and stress.
That’s why we work on making the supply chains more resilient. As we improve resilience, more and more of disruptions can be managed at the systemic level without management intervention. Only a few large and unforeseen disruptions need it.
Supply Chains with high resilience handle majority of disruptions at the operating level. Top management need not even know about these disruptions, freeing up their time for other value-adding tasks.
