Challenges in 2021 pushed the boundaries of agility even further.

Every year brings new challenges and helps in improving the supply chain capabilities. As a result, supply chains evolve, and emerge stronger and more robust. The year 2021 has been no different. Logistical challenges like route blockage, container shortage, port delays, coupled with chip shortage and Covid-19 have resulted in supply chains getting more agile and resilient.

However, in my opinion, the biggest push to agility was provided by the emergence of q-commerce players, promising delivery in 10 minutes! It promises to be a game changer strategy, focused on the secular consumer need of faster delivery.

The coming year will see the q-commerce model evolving further and coming into the mainstream. This will result in improving the design of agile supply chains even further. It will also improve many underlying supply chain processes and practices.

Looking forward to an exciting 2022!
