Vendors are eager to help, let’s not hesitate in asking them.

We all know that vendors should be treated as business partners. The relationship should be nurtured, based on trust and transparency.

Are we really living up to it?

Purchase teams often hesitate to ask vendors for rescheduling the deliveries… will it inconvenience them? Even when rescheduling helps consumers in terms of better availability and fresher products, thereby benefitting both the company and vendor.

If we treat vendors as partners, let’s trust them and ask for such rescheduling. My experience suggests that they are more than willing to comply, especially for deliveries which are yet to be produced.
