Never say I know.
These are the words of Dr. Eli Goldratt, which mean a lot to me. I have seen time and again that supply chain professionals as well as consultants find it difficult to acknowledge that they don’t know the solution to a specific problem.
The mindset of ‘I know’ blocks the mind from different and better ways of working. Once we are curious about the problem in a specific context and apply a mix of intuition and logic, we normally end up with a more comprehensive solution.
Let’s stop saying ‘I know’ and instead look at any supply chain problem with curiosity and willingness to find a sustainable win-win solution.
