Some Supply Chain initiatives take a long time to implement. Teams working on such initiatives need an early confirmation that their efforts are in the right direction and paying off.

It is important to design the initiatives in such a way that the teams experience some early wins. It confirms that the direction of solution is right. For example, if the team starts with stockouts of 15% and sees it coming down to less than 10% in a few weeks, they do get motivated to double up their efforts.

Nothing works better for team’s buy-in than an early win.
