How dynamic is your Supply Chain dashboard design?

Most companies have designed and implemented their Supply Chain dashboards, which keep them updated on various performance parameters on an ongoing basis. The key question is… has it helped them improve their profits?

I have gone through such dashboards of many companies. These are typically focused on service levels, inventory status, capacity utilisation, costs, etc. which the management team wants to monitor.

It appears to me that the dashboards have been designed ‘for information’. Is this a good design objective?

In my opinion, dashboards should be designed to ‘nudge’ people to take the right corrective or improvement action. Since the principal areas of improvement would change from time to time, the design must be dynamic instead of static.
