Can the consumers feel your Supply Chain transformation?

Supply Chain transformation initiatives in companies fall under two broad categories.

Majority of these initiatives are internal focused. Improve efficiency of operations. Automate manual processes. Implement S&OP or IBP. Cut down the cost of overall supply chain. If you don’t publicize the transformation initiative, will the consumers notice it?

The other type of transformation is consumer focused. Improve product availability on retail shelves. Offer wider assortment to consumers. Improve product freshness at the point of purchase. Will the consumers notice it without publicity? Of course, they will.
