OTIF in conversations is important for Supply Chain excellence.
Supply Chain professionals now understand the importance of On-Time-In-Full (OTIF). Improving OTIF is one of the primary goals for any supply chain team. However, teams often find it difficult to incorporate it in their ways of working. The question is… how do we internalize it so that our actions promote it consistently?
Supply Chain excellence requires that the concept of OTIF be internalized in our day-to-day conversations, be it with the consumers, customers, or other supply chain partners. Do we engage in deep listening? Do we understand their pain points or the undesirable effects they are experiencing? Do we turn our attention to them immediately when they start expressing themselves? Do we give our undivided attention to what they are communicating?
If we follow OTIF in our supply chain conversations, many pain points and improvement areas would surface quickly, which would otherwise get brushed under the carpet!
