Professionals in the corporate world are often fond of multitasking and feel that they can focus on several activities at the same time. Research has shown that frequent switching between tasks, activities and projects results in loss of focus and attention.
Have you ever spilled milk while boiling it? You were probably busy multitasking and took your eyes off the milk. Most of us have done it at some time or the other, without learning from our mistake.
Students are most productive during exams as they focus on one subject at a time and devote their undivided attention to it. Let’s follow this practice in our work life and give our full attention to the task in hand. Undivided attention leads to better quality of work.
