Successful Supply Chain transformation projects strive for matching employee skills with the technical and process skill requirements.
Many Supply Chain transformation projects require new processes to be introduced with new relevant technologies to be implemented. A lot of these cases require upskilling of the team, which must be undertaken for the projects to succeed.
It is also important that the project is implemented at a pace that the employees can cope with. If the team doesn’t understand why we are making the process changes or how they need to upskill, getting their buy-in would be difficult.
On the other hand, if the transformation progresses at a pace that the employees can sustain with full understanding and some amount of stretch, they will put in their heart and soul to ensure that the project succeeds and the transformation is sustained over long term.
