People are good, question the process!

Many supply chain leaders feel that their operations are underperforming due to either their employees not putting in their best efforts or inadequate skills of their team.

Our experience in working with companies across sectors indicates that employees are rarely the cause for underperformance. The root cause lies in either a poor design of the supply chain or certain ineffective processes in place. In a few cases, company policies and procedures come in the way of employees giving their best.

If we want to improve the supply chain performance, let’s not blame the employees, but question the process. Redesigning of supply chain to make it consumer oriented and minor tweaking of a few processes is often necessary to take the performance to a much higher level.
