Is your team aligned on the direction of solution?
Supply chain transformation requires certain fundamental changes to the underlying processes. Such projects need full team alignment for success.
Simply stated, alignment is a two-step process. We need to first align the direction of solution. Once the team believes that it is the right direction, we can then develop the full solution along with the team members.
I have seen certain companies jumping to the solution directly. In such a scenario, we are likely to face many more obstacles to the alignment process. Moreover, such projects take much longer to implement and are less sustainable over the long term.
We should instead spend as much time as required to discuss, debate and agree on the direction of solution for the team’s complete buy-in and ensure faster, smoother and sustainable implementation.
