Goals are meant to provide direction for taking the right actions.
I would urge you to revisit the goal you have set for the coming year. Is it serving the purpose of ‘North Star’, providing direction for various actions to be taken? Is it attainable… can you really reach the North Star?
Supply Chain teams deal with multiple options for their day-to-day decisions. Which one is the right action? The one that takes us closer to the goal, of course!
Goal plays an important role in solving such dilemmas. Is your goal helping the team take the right calls on day-to-day basis?
If not, it’s the right time to revisit the goal.
