Inherent Simplicity leads to simpler processes.

Most supply chains run on complex processes, since we haven’t understood the inherent simplicity in the system. Once we understand and work on the inherent simplicity, many complexities go away, leading to simpler, faster and more effective processes.

We have also seen that the need for classification and segmentation in supply chain diminishes as the simpler processes are able to meet the needs of all the customers at high service levels.

The simplification achieved through the Inherent Simplicity route is sustainable and helps build the Decisive Competitive Edge in the market, which is difficult for competitors with more complex processes to copy.

My suggestion would be to stop superficial simplification of the supply chain and instead work on understanding and leveraging its Inherent Simplicity.
