How do your conversations on supply chain start?

Many companies have regular conversations about their supply chain performance, issues and improvements. Some of these are in their periodic reviews – monthly, weekly or daily. Sitting through these reviews gives a whole set of insights about the way they look at their supply chains.

Most companies start their reviews with forecast accuracy, forecast bias, supply chain costs, gross margins and inventory levels. These companies are internal-driven and consider their supply chains from an inside-out point of view.

Very few companies start their reviews with consumer demand, customer service levels, OTIF, stockouts, and product freshness. These companies are market-driven and their supply chains are run outside-in.
