Adaptability of Supply Chains is the key to sustained excellence.
History has a lot of lessons for us. Dinosaurs were once the most successful species and considered invincible. They were so powerful that many future species didn’t get a chance to evolve and develop.
A meteor strike on Earth possibly wiped them out as they failed to adapt to the new environment, whereas several other species survived. Their extinction paved the way for the evolution of mammals.
We have experienced smaller meteor attacks like Covid-19. It has led to the decline of a few iconic companies and paved the way for many new startups to flourish. Their supply chains, which were once considered as benchmarks and excellent, are struggling to cope with the new emerging risks.
A question for the highly successful and seemingly invincible industry leaders – ‘What have you done to improve the adaptability of your supply chain for sustained excellence?’
