Fast feedback loops are important to control and improve supply chains.
Feedback loop is an important concept in Systems Dynamics, where the output of a process is fed back to the input and used to control it in a dynamic manner. If the feedback is continuous, we can control the process very well by adjusting the inputs accordingly.
Supply chains using the concept of fast feedback loop are more stable and efficient. They can detect changes in demand pattern much faster and shape the supplies accordingly. Their effectiveness depends on how fast they can respond to these changes and how flexible they are in their upstream operations.
Let’s use this concept to create fast feedback loops in our supply chain and operate them at a daily frequency.
