Blockchain technology will get into the mainstream with Covid 19 vaccine distribution.
Covid 19 vaccine distribution is a complex supply chain task, as the vaccine shelf life is low and it has to be stored and transported at controlled low temperatures. It is imperative that the goods flow fast from source to destination without wasting time at various hand-off nodal points. We also need to maintain complete traceability.
Since there are multiple agencies involved in this task, including cross-border ones, the requisite documentation has to be immaculate and efficient, which makes Blockchain a particularly useful technology to deploy in the entire supply chain.
This specific supply chain task gives us an opportunity to showcase, fine tune and improve Blockchain technology as the bedrock platform for such requirements.
